On Wednesday the 15th of March, the students of Thames Park School took part in their very first Technology Tournament. The challenge was to design something creative and innovative using a limited set of materials, with no help from their teachers or facilitators. It was an invaluable opportunity for the students to experience first-hand the challenge of becoming a true technology designer.

Throughout the day, the students proved themselves to be a formidable team, displaying fantastic problem solving skills, resilience, and a sense of self-responsibility. At the end of the day, the fruits of their labour was rewarded with a second place award for their design and certificates to celebrate their achievements.

This tournament was not only an inspiring event for the students who took part, but also a reminder of the importance of nurturing and developing young minds in fields such as technology and design. This is essential to ensure the future generation is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful technology designers.
