31/03/2022Thameside Theatre VisitSam Byrne from the 'Save the Theatre' Campaign came in to talk to our Year 8 Students today. Her aim was to inform the students about the Thameside complex and the threatened closure. Over the coming weeks, the students will be writing letters to their local councilors explaining the devastating impact the closure of the complex would have on the community. The complex hosts a professional theatre, a museum and one of the borough's largest libraries, the students agreed that to lose this vital resource would have an impact on their education and artistic opportunities.
31/03/2022Self Defence Master ClassMany thanks to Tang Sou Dao for their time today. Year 7 thoroughly enjoyed the Self Defence Master Class which could be seen by the full involvement of students.

A bespoke programme is prepared for our pupils with our contractors B&K with our pupils working with the team. This gives a real feeling of equality to the students knowing that they will all visit before the opening day.
17/03/2022Live dissectionMr Cripps and Miss Startin performed a live dissection for all students at Thames Park. Following the previous activities that have taken place in science week, the science department wanted to end with a bang. The science department decided to go with a pig's heart, lungs, liver and head! The students were amazed and their reactions could be heard throughout the school. Great end to a fantastic science week!

09/03/2022Year 7 Football matchOur first game away to Orsett Heath Academy ended in defeat following a tough game. Both teams played well and although there was a last minute pitch change they showed real character. We were winning 2-1 at half but the game ended with Orsett Heath Academy winning 4-3. Man of the Match was Patryk
