12/09/2022Monday 19th September 2022Following the weekend's announcement that the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday, 19th September 2022, and that the day will be a bank holiday, all schools and the central Trust offices of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust will close for observance of the national day of mourning.

The Headteacher will give a short presentation, tour and you will have the opportunity to meet your child’s Head of Year. Unfortunately we will be unable to accommodate any children during this event, so this will be for adults only. 07/09/2022ParkingDear parents, Thank you for your patience and co-operation whilst we are settling into our new building. We have been watching and reviewing car parking and have made some adjustments to help this work more effectively and would appreciate your support. With immediate effect, staff will be parking around the perimeter of the car park, freeing up spaces in the central area to enable parents to park more easily. To help with traffic movement please park in a marked parking bay or use the drop off layby. We would ask that you leave the car park promptly to free up spaces for other parents to use. If you are waiting at the end of the day please turn off your engine. Kindly remind your child/children to be careful when walking through the car park or when crossing by the main vehicle entrance due to moving traffic, and encourage them to use the pedestrian crossing outside the school when crossing the main road. Please leave the accessible parking spaces free so that they can be used when needed.

02/09/2022New academic yearPlease find below the information for the start of the new academic year. The first day of school is Monday 5th September at our new site in Chadwell Road. Students will need to arrive at school in full school uniform along with equipment needed. Your child will need to enter the building via the main entrance in Chadwell Road. Please be mindful of traffic if you are dropping your child off and use the drop off area that will be in place. Timings for Monday 5th September – Year 7 – arrive for a 0820 start Year 8 – arrive for a 1020am start Year 9 – arrive for a 1200 start All students will need to enter via the main entrance in Chadwell Road and go through the Pupil Entrance gate. If you are looking to drop your child off you will be able to drop them off in the car park 15 minutes before they are due to start. From Tuesday 6th September our normal school times will apply for all students. Gates will open at 0800 and students are expected to be in school ready to go to first lesson for 0815 and the school day finishing at 1510. Drop off and pick up times will be 0800 to 0815 and 1505 to 1530. Please be reminded that all students should have entered through the pupil entrance gate by 0815, otherwise they will be given a late mark as they will not be in class ready to start learning at 0820. Extra-curricular will be available after school until 4pm and once we are in a position to be able to start these we will let you know. We would like to invite you as parents into school on 13th, 14th, or 15th September between 4pm and 6pm so that you can see our new home. Further details will follow when we return to school in September. We do hope you have an enjoyable summer break, and we look forward to seeing you all in September.
