Examination Results
Summer 2025 marked a truly momentous occasion in the life of our school — our very first set of GCSE results. Thames Park are absolutely thrilled to share that our students have achieved exceptional outcomes, headlined by Grade 4 and Grade 5 results in English and Maths significantly above national averages.
These results are a testament to the unwavering dedication, resilience, and ambition of our students, and the tireless commitment of all our staff, with many other subjects also celebrating huge success. Shown below are just some of the statutory headline figures we are required to share. Each table displays the results for Thames Park (School) and for comparison results for all schools in our local authority (Thurrock) and then for all schools in England (National). | Attainment 8 Score | ||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Attainment measures show how pupils have performed in tests and assessments but do not take pupils’ starting points into account. This score is based on how well pupils in a school have performed in up to 8 qualifications, which include English, maths, 3 English Baccalaureate qualifications including sciences, computer science, history, geography and languages, and 3 other additional qualifications.

| Headline Figures (Basics) | ||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
This tells you the percentage of pupils who achieved grade 5 or above in English and maths GCSEs. Reformed GCSEs are graded 1 (low) to 9 (high). Grade 5 is a similar level of achievement to a high grade C or low grade B in the old grading.

| English Baccalaureate | |||||||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
A pupil is considered to have entered for the English Baccalaureate if they entered for qualifications in English, maths, sciences, a language and either history or geography. The EBacc average points score calculates a pupil's average point scores across the 5 pillars of the English Baccalaureate.

| Progress 8 Score |
|---|
|
We are not able to calculate Progress 8 scores for academic years 2024/25 and 2025/26. This is because there is no KS2 assessment data available to calculate the baseline for Progress 8 for these years due to Covid-19 disruption. We are also unable to show results broken down by prior attainment. For more information see the KS4 technical guide. Whilst no official KS2 prior attainment was available, Thames Park used standardised baseline testing with the Class of 2025 when they arrived with us in Year 7 through GL Assessment, giving us nationally reputable retrospective key stage 2 scaled scores for all our pupils. Whilst the DfE do not recognise these as a formal measure, using these enabled us to calculate our own Progress 8 score for this cohort. Every analysis showed that pupils at Thames Park outperformed their expectations significantly and internal progress 8 analysis placed our pupils results significantly above national average compared to previous years. For extra scrutiny and reliability with our 2025 results, we also used SISRA analytics to compare our results against a national cohort of over 1000 other secondary schools, where once again our results stood out as above national average compared to the other schools in the SISRA comparison cohort.
