Welcome to the careers page of Thames Park! We are committed to providing our students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
As part of this commitment, we offer a comprehensive careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) program. This program is designed to help students explore a wide range of careers and make informed decisions about their future. It includes activities such as career workshops, job shadowing, and mentoring programs, as well as access to resources such as career websites and job search tools.
We are also proud to be working towards the Gatsby benchmarks, which are a set of eight guidelines for providing a high-quality careers program. These benchmarks include providing students with opportunities to learn from employers, giving them access to accurate and up-to-date information about careers, and helping them to develop the skills and attributes that employers are looking for.
One of the ways we are working towards the Gatsby benchmarks is through our use of the Careers Pilot. This is a digital platform that allows students to explore different careers, learn about the skills and qualifications they need, and connect with employers and mentors in their chosen field. It also includes a range of resources and tools that can help students make informed decisions about their future.
We believe that our careers program is an essential part of preparing our students for success in the workforce. By providing them with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need, we are helping to create a brighter future for our students and our community.
